Welcome to Digital Faerie Photography where whimsical images are captured for your viewing pleasure

digitalfaerie > While meandering around Price Park on the Blue Ridge Parkway, I managed to find a babbling brook of sorts inbetween a grove of trees. The light was low and really gave the water this spectacular metallic effect. I love the contrast between the blues and golds.

This is the uncropped version. I like the cropped better. Gives more attention to the stranded leaf that way, wouldn't you agree?

digitalfaerie > Another shot of a babbling brook found in Price Park on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Water is truly magical - can you tell I'm a Pisces?
digitalfaerie > I don't normally do landscapes because the lens of my camera is extremely limited. But this one turned out ok. (I think all photographers think - "that could be better")
digitalfaerie > I get astonished comments from people when they find out this shot was not taken from outer space! It's amazing the things your camera allows you to capture, and how fun it can be to take the context out of world as you see it with your eye, and catapult it to new heights.

I revisited Price Lake after a deep freeze and the sun had begun thawing out the icy layer. I love the ovals and colors of this shot.
digitalfaerie > Driving on the Blue Ridge Parkway in the fog can be stressful sometimes, but it does allow you to go extremely slow without having to worry about people wanting to run you over. Sometimes when you're in the driver's seat, you miss the beauty around you.

I stopped at one of the many overlooks on the Blue Ridge Parkway to snap this shot. I like it with the sepia tone, seems to warm up the fog a bit, but still manages to keep it's "horror movie" feel.
